Take A Stand Against Abuse
The Stop Abuse Campaign and Eain’s Echo are proud to present Take a Stand Against Abuse, a day to learn about child abuse and domestic violence in our community, to learn about how it’s prevented, and to help survivors recover from it.
Organizations that prevent abuse, fight against it or help survivors heal will have informational tables set up, so the community can learn about the issue. Starting at 11 there will be speakers talking about the impact of abuse in this community, and the community’s plan to prevent it. This will be followed by a reflective walk around the park, followed by survivors gathering near the casino to share their stories of surviving child abuse and domestic violence.
September 17 marks the 3rd anniversary of Eain Brooks’ murder by his mother’s boyfriend, Matthew Kuzdzal. Since his murder, members of his family formed Eain’s Echo and have worked with the Stop Abuse Campaign to transform the Buffalo community into one where child abuse and murder is prevented.
