Police arrest bowling alley owner accused of sharing child pornography
DELMAR, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Bethlehem Police have arrested a man accused of possessing and disseminating child pornography.
Police say they received an alert that an individual had sent an image of child pornography to a juvenile in Bethlehem through a social media website.
After an investigation, Bethlehem police arrested Marvin Sontz, 61, of Delmar on Tuesday. Police say Sontz is the owner of Del Lanes Bowling Alley in Delmar.
Sontz was charged with felony counts of dissemination indecent material to minors in the first degree and possessing a sexual performance by a child, as well as one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
