Mother charged in infant death appears in court
The Fort Collins woman accused of lying to police about the death of her 11-month-old daughter appeared in court for the first time Friday morning and requested supervised visits with one of her other children.
Dressed in a black sweatshirt and pants, 22-year-old Alexa Coria appeared before Eighth Judicial District Chief Judge Stephen Schapanski at the Larimer County Justice Center for less than 5 minutes.
During her appearance, Coria asked Schapanski to allow supervised visits with one of her children at The Jacob Center in Fort Collins. Another judge set up the visits “before I got arrested,” Coria said, but her bond mandates she have no contact with children.
