Memphis man receives life sentence for sex-trafficking minors to New Orleans
“Sex trafficking of minors is one of the most reprehensible criminal offenses imaginable,” said Polite in a news release. “A life sentence for this defendant sends the strongest message possible: our community will not tolerate this heinous conduct.”
Evidence presented at trial portrayed Jones as a calculated manipulator who lured underage girls into prostitution through promises of luxury and security only to beat them “sadistically” and keep all of their earnings for himself.
Jones began recruiting the first victim in this case, a 17-year-old from Baton Rouge, in December 2013 to work as a prostitute for him, performing numerous “dates” per day to reach quotas he set, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
