Man sentenced to 240 years in prison for sexually abusing, taking pictures of 7 children
ALBION, MI – An Albion man who sexually abused and exploited seven children with an approach that was said to be calculated and methodical will spend 240 years in prison, a federal judge ordered Friday.
U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker on Sept 30 gave Jeffrey Duane Cox the maximum prison penalty for seven counts of child sexual exploitation and two counts of child pornography possession, court records show. Cox also must pay nearly $10,000 in fines and restitution.
A jury convicted Cox in June, finding he lured children into his home, convinced them to trust them and then sexually abused and used them, the U.S. Attorney’s Office earlier reported.
