Fort Edward woman arrested, charged for causing serious physical injuries to 4-year-old girl
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A 4-year-old is fighting for her life at Albany Medical Center and her step-mother is under arrest charged with Reckless Assault of a Child, a felony.
A press conference with the New York State Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was held Thursday morning at around 10 a.m. regarding Wednesday’s arrest of 22-year-old- Marissa Bickford-Rice.
According to first responders, when they arrived at 603 Lower Wright Street in Fort Edward on Wednesday at around 11 a.m., they found 4-year-old Kaiden Starr Rice unresponsive.
According to Sheriff Murphy, Kaiden lives there with her father and the suspect, 22-year-old Marissa Bickford Rice, who is her step-mom.
